A2Sorry, there are couple of mediation that can be used but they are all ineffective in the long term. The best way is exercise, eating right (you don’t have to start eating lettuce like a rabbit, just stop eating oily food and drinking sodas), joining a long term program, maybe with a friend. It takes a while to get use to a different life stile but after a year or so in the same weight – you won’t believe it was you in those pictures…

dancing is a great aerobic exercise. it works on so many groups of muscles and on the cardiopulmonary system. and it has another great virtue- it is a sport you enjoy and it's easy to get in a routine of exercises when you go dancing in a group.
A2Hello friend, I got a Latin dance video that is supposed to help you 'tone up' or whatever. Has anyone used this to help? I eat healthy and run after two kids all day, but its just not coming off!!
(I got the video from Wal-Mart, it’s called '10 Min. Solution Fat Blasting Latin Dance Mix'). Dancing fast pace ANYTHING CARDIO is the BEST way to lose weight. Cardio is the best exercise because it burns more calories and keeps you active. So if the video is fast paced and like a cardio then yea.

A2What works best for me, and is recommended by all doctors, is losing weight gradually, with a balanced diet and calorie watching- around 1200-1400 calories a day, combined with moderate physical activity. (Either 30 minutes a day of fast walking or 3-4 times a week of 45-60 minute walk). If you like other sports fields you should engage in it them on a regular basis. That is the best way.

A1when i had a minor depression i lost my appetite. i lost about 15 lb. and looked terrible. and after a while it comes to a vicious cycle in which bad nutrition halts the chances of getting better.
A2The articles I have read say that someone being diagnosed may have had a weight gain or loss. If you see a doctor with any regularity, a change in trend is obvious if they weigh you each time you go. I suppose the doctor takes something like that in consideration with all the other symptoms before making a diagnosis. After starting on medication for depression, I steadily gained weight. The best thing for losing weight is simply exercising enough regularly to get your heart rate up several times a week, and watching what you eat. My doctor never prescribed diet medicine. Walking is probably the simplest exercise program to do. Just pick up the pace a little to get that heart rate up. My doctor told me some people lose weight and some people gain weight with depression. So there is probably no one correct answer for everyone. Ask you doctor. That's the best thing to do. I am certainly not a substitute for a doctor.

A2Unfortunately the weight we gain is much harder to lose... There's no easy way to lose body fat and the best way is to do it gradually and not fast, altough that's what we all desire. If you want to focus on your stomach than you need to cut back on high fat containing food, eat a balanced diet and exercise on a regular basis, with putting more focus on your abdominal muscles.

Every time me or any one I know start’s a diet it always ends up gaining more weight than before…go down 6, than go up 7…is there a way to stay?
A1I think that the key to weight loss is not so much as dieting but taking control over what and how much you eat. I eat at least six times a day, thats four meals and two snacks. The protions that i eat however are not that big. I mostly just eat until I'm full or just satisfied. I really dont excercise either except for walking and I have lost 55 pounds over about a 3 or 4 month period. I LOVE food and the few diets that i did try didnt work, either because I was still hungry or I just didnt stick to them long enough to see results. I don't know if this works for everyone, but it worked for me. I think this worked because eating six meals a day kept my metabolism running almost constantly, so i ended up burning more calories than i took in. This may not take the weight off fast, but it can help you lose weight and keep it off. Hope this helps.
A2Usually people don’t loose weight properly and our body needs a while to get use to our new weight. It’ll take a year…it’s hard I know but I lost 12 lb. and never gained them again. But I took a balanced diet and it took me almost a year to loose it all and a year to hold my self. But it was worth it! All you have to do is to do a well balanced diet, know it’ll take a long time and understand it’s not you –it’s hormones in your body that makes you want to eat. Good luck!!
A3:) , it’s actually a very good question! It’s not obvious that it’ll be hard to stay in the same weight after loosing a few pounds. Our fat tissue sends out a hormone that is called Leptin. This hormone signals our body that we have enough fat and we don’t need more. It works but sometime we overload it and our body get use to it. And when we loose weight-less Leptin is secreted and our body feels that he is in starvation mode and makes your metabolism slower.
