Q. hip pain

i have pain in my right hip
AWell, it could be many things, depends on your situation: What age are you? How long does the pain last? Is it worse during movement or during rest? Was there any trauma?

In the more adult population, osteoarthritis is a common cause, as you can read more here (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Osteoarthritis).

If that didn't answer your question, then you can read more here (http://www.nlm.nih.gov/medlineplus/ency/article/003179.htm).

Q. What is the treatment for "hip joint mice"? Thanks!

Aif you are young- it goes away by itself after 6-8 painful weeks...if you are older you might need a surgery to remove the particles. it the hip bone it can be complicated, so it's really up to your Dr. to decide what to do here.

Q. ofter csection i have a pain in my hip i can hardly walk sometime

Athis is not a normal c-section symptom..(as far as i know, i'm not a gynecologist..) but here are some situations that hip pain are their symptom-

i would call the Doctor that operated and ask him about it though.. maybe he can give a clue.

Q. Why is it so hip to be thin and fit???? not everyone can be as thin and as fit as the society demands? was

it always like that ? because i feel like if you are gaining a little extra pounds you are doomed !!! people condem you as a less better man in the good case .. in the worst case you won't have friends ....
Ai think that the in the biological way of thinking - people are attracted to what seems healthy, it has more chance of giving healthy child that will survive. in African cultures that food is scarce- being big considered to be healthy and attractive. in our culture- being over weight means unhealthy, but so is too skinny. so going back and forth with a few ponds is fine. but the two extreme situations are unattractive for most men.

Q. why do i have problems with my right hip?i am 38 and i've been working out alot since jan of 92.why the hip?

i am very physically active.i am 38.not overweight at all.i am 5-9 and a half and i weigh 180-185 lbs.i have problems with my right hip.hard to exactly explain how it does it's thing on me.i got back into practicing karate kicks in 98 after a 7 year hiatus.i ride my bicycle alot and i do dips, pullups, and moderate level weight lifting.i think maybe its the bicycle sprints that i like to incorporate in my bicycling.what do you's think...?
A1i do not get tingling or burning.i never suffered trauma to the hip.
i do not have pain during the night.only if i stood up all of a sudden right on the bed after laying there for hours would it possibly act up.
during my regular waken hours,if i sit for a prolonged period of time and then go to get up too soon or too quick,i will get the pain.it just always feels like i badly pulled something,or it temporarily went out of place.then i cease further movement for around 10 seconds and sort of let it settle back into place and i do this sort of hip rotational thing to help loosen the area and then,i'm usually good for awhile after that.i havent been to a doctor or orthopedic surgeon because i know how many doctors can be and they might try to convince me that i absolutely have to get surgery or i'll be crippled in a few years.i know how docs like to use scare tactics alot of times and do surgeries that the patient didnt really have to get to begin with.i'm leary about docs in general.
A2Hmm... The possible causes vary and depend on the specific features of the pain. Is the pain aggravated by exercise (especially weight bearing)? Do you have pain during the night? Do you have any other abnormal feelings (e.g. tingling, burning etc.)? Did you suffer any trauma to the hip?

Any way, over the net it's a little problematic to make a diagnosis. Have you seen a doctor (or an orthopedic surgeon)?

Q. What exactly is Lytacane Bupicaine?

My friend is schedule for an injection next week called Lytacane Bupicaine for severe pain in her back and hip. We have never heard of this and are looking for more information and see if anyone has had this injection. thank you so much. Looking for good and bad (any) experiences.
Amaybe you mean- Bupivacaine ? it's a local anesthetic. usually used in before total hip arthroplasty and some dental treatments. it has a long duration- maybe that is the reason it has been prescribed to your friend. it is injected to the spine and does a spinal block (epidural).

Q. Two weeks ago I fell and my back is still aching. What do you recommend I do?

I'm 85 years old and have a history of 5 back operations. I fell a few times in the past couple of years, but I usually manage to live on my own and well. Recently I fell and hurt my left leg which is the one that I had a hip operation and of course problems and pain. I have resting and using my walking stick to balance myself better and I try to rest as much as possible. I know that time is the best healer, but i would love to see a video or read about my situation in order to improve my situation and learn new facts or tips. thanks you.
A1GO TO THE HOSPITAL
A2from your description i would say you are probably osteoporotic no? my mother is in the same situation.. she broke her arm (shattered would be more exact)and it took forever to heal. she had a lot of time on her hand so i looked for web pages about osteoporosis for her to read about, here is what i found:
http://www.nof.org/

http://www.rheumatology.org/public/factsheets/osteopor_new.asp

and here is a site with many short videos, one of the about back pain in osteoporosis!:
http://www.healthline.com/hgy-transcripts/back-pain-and-osteoporosis

all this, by the way, is not instead of going to a specialist...
take care!!
