Q. My friend told me that people who allergic to dust are actually allergic to small insect.

Is he fooling with me?

those little buggers are eating organic detritus such as flakes of shed human skin and produce strong allergens.

Q. how exactly dust effects on asthmatic people? how can one avoid a dust environment?

A1some people try to dust proof there home,they change there matress once a year-----thay do not have rugs in there home---no curtains or draps --and they have someone else dust and clean/no pets.some people keep there pets and take allergie meds.
A2it's not the dust itself that is the problem. it's the dust mites that comes with it. here is a picture of one:

it's a tiny insect that releases a substance to the environment that causes an allergic reaction.
that is usually the problem, but there are cases that dust with pollution can cause irritation to the bronchi and start a reaction.
