Q. Can Fibromyalgia be cured completely?

Can Fibromyalgia be cured completely?
A1sadly- no. it is still a mysterious illness that the cause of it and the chain of occurrences are not yet known. but as williams41 suggested - there are many ways of treating it and easing the symptoms. here is a link to a whole load of info about it:
http://www.nlm.nih.gov/medlineplus/fibromyalgia.html
A2Fibromyalgia symptoms can be treated and cannot be cured. Medications such as, antidepressants, anticonvulsants and sometimes pain relievers may help. Proper nutrition, exercise and sleeping habits also play important roles in treatment of fibromyalgia. Some complementary treatments such as massage, acupuncture, relaxation techniques, biofeedback and hypnosis may also help some people.

Q. Does this mean he is completely fine now? We are surprised with his improvement!!

My son is in manic state for the past 2 years. He shows improvement with the treatment and his painting looks perfect. Prior to the diagnosis as bipolar he painted but randomly. Now he does painting with calm mind. Does this mean he is completely fine now? We are surprised with his improvement!!
AThis is good sign……….There are evidence to show that bipolar disorder is linked with the rise in artistic talent and creativity. The only challenge is to control the mania. Once the mania is controlled the creative and artistic flow gets organized among the bipolars. Though it’s very difficult to maintain this balance among bipolars. But medicines to control the mania has responded well in most of the cases.

Q. Can my asthma ever go away completely?

I've started reflexology and bach flowers and in till now it has been helping prevent attacks. Can asthma just pass?
A1Good to know man, I'll try that as well... do you take it like every day or how exactly does it work??
A2hey guys! just wanted to let you know the bach flowers are making miracles!!! you should try it out...I'll have to say I'm not usually having attacks every day- maybe once or twice a week- allergic asthma caused by cats, trees, many things, but it has been like 3 weeks with nothing- clean lungs is sooo great...
A3i don't think it just passes...i know for a fact that sometime asthmatic children can sometime "grow out of it" and it goes away during puberty. but in older age- never heard of it. but if the alternative treatment reduces symptoms and attacks- that's great! tell us more and do recommend if you see any change.

Q. I am completely clueless. Why this sudden change. I am on lithium but now I am going better with it?

For the past 10 years my sleep is reduced to just 4-5 hours a day (night sleep). Suddenly I sleep for over 10 hours every night. I am completely clueless. Why this sudden change. I am on lithium but now I am going better with it?
AIt’s actually the side effect of these medications, which makes you sleep more and is good ----because getting the right amount of sleep is crucial to control mania. A close relative of mine took Seroquil and felt completely tired. Later we found that she is improving with less or no tiredness. Now she doesn’t feel much tired. She is on seroquil now but at reduced doses. You are also on your medications and it might be working for you as well, as it worked for my friend. So sleep more and just get well!

Q. I'm completely new to exercising, any recommendations on getting started?

Hi friends, how is your shape man. I'm 5'10”, 185 pounds with a 38 inch waist. In recent years I've completely let myself go. I'm completely new to exercising, any recommendations on getting started? Thanks for your time.
AHi Davis, Welcome to fitness club. Being a new one to exercising, you should first consult with a personal trainer at a gym that you choose to get you on the right track as far as learning the exercises and how to use the equipment. But, more importantly, let's start out with the basics in setting some goals for you and staying focused and dedicated to achieving these goals. My advice to you is to get you on the right path set a long term goal perhaps with an image that you have for yourself, but approach it with short term goals along the way so you feel a sense of accomplishment, motivating you to continue.

Q. how are the chances for complete recovery from breast cancer?

Is it always necessary to remove a breast? does it come with a lot of phisical pain? my sister is treated for her breast cancer these days and I want to be as knowlegable and as supportive as possible.
A1thank you joseph83, I will check it out right away, I wasn't here for a few days since I was with her in the hospital. really worried... if anybody has any more answers, I would really appreciate it. thank you.
A2breast cancer usually has a good prognosis. and that because it is spotted early (there is a general awareness of the illness and it's easy to spot). but the prognosis depends on the time it was found. timing is everything, the stage of the cancer is, determines the the treatment.
here is what every stage means:
