Q. Can acupuncture cause bleeding?

I’m thinking to try acupuncture for back pain I have for many months (long story, so far nothing helped), but I’m afraid it’ll cause bruises and bleeding – last week when the nurse draw blood from my arm she left a green sign that lasted almost a week. Is it dangerous? Can it cause infection?
A1Has blood drawing ever caused an infection? The same way, if the new and sterile needles are used, the risk is very low.

Take care
A2The acupuncture needles are way thinner than the needles used to draw blood, so I wouldn’t worry about it. Usually there’s almost no blood during acupuncture.
A3No, acupuncture does not cause bleeding. However, it is sometimes impossible to avoid superficial capillaries lying close to the skin surface, in which case a drop of blood or a slight discoloration of the skin may occur upon needle removal. This is especially likely to happen to patients who are taking blood-thinning medications or to elderly patients whose blood vessel walls are less elastic. This is a normal occurrence in acupuncture treatments and will disappear by itself. Vitamin C may be taken to speed the absorption of any discoloration.
Hope this helps.

Q. My husband has a very small mole that was cut.We can not seem to get it to stop bleeding. Any suggestions?

tried a shaving pencil, and band-aids of every size. Just will not stop bleeding.
AIn this case, you should go see the doctor who took the mole out, or any dermatologist actually, that can burn the spot a little bit to help it stop bleeding.

Q. an insect bite seems infected and is bleeding...

the area under the skin is hard and sore... when pressed it bleeds quite a bit
AIt sounds like you have cellulitis around the area of the bite, and you should see a doctor to decide whether or not this requires antibiotics.

Q. if you've had rough sex can bleeding accur a day or two later and have a smelly discharge?

A1it is very possible to happen like that. a rough sex will most likely cause trauma in the mucosa (either it is vaginal mucosa or anal mucosa), and the bleeding can happen even after a day or two.
if you're experiencing smelly discharge, be aware of the possibility of genital infection, that's why I'll recommend you to go to a doctor to get checked, and then get the specific therapy for that.

if it is happened that you're getting genital infection, you would probably inform your sex-partner and encourage your partner to seek the same medical advice.

Stay healthy always...
A2I'm tempted to through diadnoses into the air, but it would just be irresponsible of me. Why not consult someone preofessional (e.g. gynecolosit)?

Q. Why do litlle kids' nose's begin to bleed?

AA nose starts to bleed when one of the small veins in its lining bursts. This is usually caused by something completely harmless, such as the child picking their nose, blowing it too hard or having their nose knocked while playing. Another reason could be that the child has pushed something inside their nose. Some children have veins that are closer to the mucous membrane of their nose than other children. Because the veins are very close to the skin, they are more likely to burst when the child picks, blows or rubs their nose, or plays rough games.

Q. My friend has bleeding ears , chronic headaches and she is always tired. Do you know what's wrong?

This is not like her she is normalt very active and she has not had any trama to her ear so I don't know what is going on.
A1for the ear pain - try out
A2Sounds very suspicious. Frnakly? I'd consult my doctor, especially since you describe she has some mental change.

It's not really possible to make this diagnosis over the net.
