Narial shelf is present in Nyctiphruretus, scoring was changed to '1'.
However, also the Nyctiphruretus-procolophonoid clade that was recovered in the one of the six MPTs (and the 50% majority bootstrap tree), is diagnosed by four synapomorphies: narial shelf present (1:1); ventral temporal emargination present and open ventrally (29:2); posterior margin of skull roof slightly concave with protruding medial postparietal(s) (40:3), and ventral surface of the pleurocentra bearing an excavation on either side of the midline (95:1).
