Dynamic leaks are the
compressed air losses in equipment that are only apparent when equipment connected to the
compressed air system is in operation.
By improving compressor efficiency and recovering heat energy for heating administration rooms, the green salad and herb producer has saved more than 18,000 [euro] per year since it introduced the Boge
compressed air and nitrogen formula.
And storing
compressed air requires "fuel" tanks that are stronger than steel to contain the thousands of pounds per square inch necessary.
The contract includes two phases of activity, covering the technology transfer and proof of the technical concept in the first phase, and completing detailed development of the
compressed air engine into specific vehicle and stationary applications in the second phase.
Bakery director Adam Haigh said the existing and ageing compressor was no longer able to effectively meet these new demands and invited Boge Compressors to assess the
compressed air system.
