Four of them--HPCA, CACNG3, CA10, PLPPR4--were repressed and one overexpressed CRYAB.
In the repressed genes network (figure 4A) four hub genes were identified: hypocalcin (HPCA), calcium voltage-gated channel auxiliary subunit gamma 3 (CACNG3), carbonic anhydrase-related protein 10 (CA10), and phospholipid phosphatase related 4 protein (PLPPR4).
Linkage and association analysis of CACNG3 in childhood absence epilepsy.
Additionally, they identified several genes related to glutamate (including
CACNG3, a regulator of AMPA-sensitive glutamate receptors; SLC17A7, a mitochondrial oxo-glutarate carrier; and GOT2, mitochondrial glutamic-oxaloacetic transaminase.
