DLG3(redirected from XLMR)
Also found in: Acronyms.
DLG3A gene on chromosome Xq13.1 that encodes a member of the membrane-associated guanylate kinase (MAGUK) family thought to play a role in clustering of NMDA receptors at excitatory synapses; it may also downregulate cell proliferation by interacting with the C-terminal region of the adenomatosis polyposis coli tumour suppressor protein. DLG3 is also the retired HUGO symbol for what is now designated MPP3, see there.
DLG3 mutations are associated with X-linked mental retardation.
