XLMR syndrome

Any of a group of genetic disorders that affect thinking and behavior, typically in boys who have an affected maternal uncle. The syndromes result from mutations in one of at least nine genes on the X chromosome. The most common of the XLMR syndromes is the fragile X syndrome.
