WDR12

WDR12

A gene on chromosome 2q33.2 that encodes a member of the WD-repeat protein family, which are involved in various cellular processes, including cell cycle progression, signal transduction, apoptosis and gene regulation. WDR12 is part of the PeBoW complex, which is required for maturation of 28S and 5.8S ribosomal RNAs and formation of the 60S ribosome.
