Vernors

A regional US carbonated drink which has been in continuous production since its formulation by James Vernor at the end of the American Civil War in 1866. It is highly carbonated and popularly consumed hot as a remedy for upset stomach, an effect which, if real, has been attributed to the high concentration of ginger.
