DUSP8 A gene on chromosome 11p15.5 that encodes dual-specificity phosphatase 8, a protein which is induced by nerve growth factor and insulin, inactivates SAPK/JNK and p38, and is expressed predominantly in the adult brain, heart and skeletal muscle.
