DUSP4 A gene on chromosome 8p12-p11 that encodes dual-specificity phosphatase 4, a protein which regulates mitogenic signal transduction by dephosphorylating both Thr and Tyr residues on MAP kinases ERK1/MAPK3 and ERK2/MAPK1.

The estimates for traits EP5, VH2
, and VH3 were based on too few families to be considered reliable--information from many families was not usable because measurements were missing on either the mother or father.
