capnography

 [kap-nog´grah-fe]
the measurement of inhaled and exhaled carbon dioxide concentrations, as recorded on a capnogram.

capnography

/cap·nog·ra·phy/ (kap-nog´rah-fe) monitoring of the concentration of exhaled carbon dioxide in order to assess physiologic status or determine the adequacy of ventilation during anesthesia.

capnography

The measurement and graphic display of CO2 levels in the airways, which can be performed by infrared spectroscopy; capnography facilitates patient management by providing:
(1) Continuous and noninvasive monitoring of ventilation in critically ill patients; and
(2) Early detection of clinically significant changes in respiratory status, by displaying changes in the amount of CO2 and abnormal CO2 waveforms. Capnography can be used to detect an array of clinical conditions—e.g., extubation of respiratory support, hypotension or massive blood loss, emphysema, COPD, pulmonary embolism and others.

2. Early detection of clinically significant changes in respiratory status by displaying changes in the amount of CO2 and abnormal CO2 waveforms; capnography can be used to detect a wide range of clinical conditions–eg, extubation of respiratory support, hypotension or massive blood loss, emphysema, COPD, pulmonary embolism, and others. See Infrared capnography.

capnography

the technique of taking capnograms.

mainstream capnography
uses an in-line infrared CO2 sensor connected directly to the airway, between the endotracheal tube and the breathing circuit.
sidestream capnography
airway gas samples are collected from the breathing circuit; the infrared sensor is located in a remote monitor.

In addition, in the case of plans covered by the Employee Retirement Income Security Act of 1974 (ERISA), the plan sponsor must first correct any prohibited transactions under the Department of Labor's (DOL's) Voluntary Fiduciary Correction Program before proceeding to request a closing agreement under VCAP on the tax issues.

Capsugel addressed this situation by developing a proprietary new thermal gelation manufacturing process for Vcaps Plus capsules that eliminates the need for gelling systems all together and provides true pH and ionic media independence in disintegration.
A transparent casing allows product visibility, and the Vcaps are sealed using Capsugel's LEMS (Liquid Encapsulation Microspray Sealing) technology.
Vcaps Plus capsules are also effective for protecting other moisture sensitive ingredients such as L-carnitine, white kidney bean extract, and garcinia cambogia.
They can also tolerate colder temperatures as well; internal studies show a much wider temperature capability of Vcaps Plus with temperatures ranging from 18[degrees]C to 90[degrees]C.
This contract is a continuation of climate adaptation strategy for this unique delta city in South East Asia produced by the VCAPS consortium last year.
Capsugel's vegetarian portfolio includes Vcaps, Vcaps Plus, DRcaps and Plantcaps capsules, all of which are preservative-free, GMO-ingredient-free and gluten-free.
Capsugel, Greenwood, SC, has received verification from the Non-GMO Project for two of its vegetarian capsules, Vcaps Plus and Plantcaps capsules.
