MPP6

A gene on chromosome 7p15 that encodes palmitoylated membrane protein 6, a member of the p55-like subfamily of the membrane-associated guanylate kinase homologs (MAGUK) family. MAGUKs interact with the cytoskeleton, regulating cell proliferation, signalling pathways and intracellular junctions; they are involved in tumour suppression and receptor clustering by forming multiprotein complexes with distinct sets of transmembrane, cytoskeletal and cytoplasmic-signalling proteins.

Using the terminology of Rothstein (2010), a VAM1 model for achievement in first grade corresponds to Equation (3) with the restrictions [[alpha].sub.kk] = [[alpha].sub.1k], [[beta].sub.kk] = [[beta].sub.1k], and [[alpha].sub.1, 1k] = 0; that is, the effects of past inputs are permanent, and there are no interaction effects between treatment in first grade and treatment in kindergarten.
