The plains and valleys are formed by the deposition of Indus and its tributaries containing
unconfined aquifers. In Punjab major cities including Faisalabad, Multan, Sargodha, and Lahore contain deteriorated brackish groundwater while river proximate places have better groundwater reserves.
First, the Department determines whether a well produces water from a confined aquifer or from an
unconfined aquifer. (146) The Department presumes that "[a]ll wells located a horizontal distance less than one-fourth mile from a surface water source that produce water from an
unconfined aquifer shall be assumed to be hydraulically connected to the surface water source, unless the applicant or appropriator provides satisfactory information or demonstration to the contrary" and conducts additional analysis for wells farther from an
unconfined aquifer.
In contrast, in low yielding aquifers, such as overburdens or
unconfined aquifers, dug/bored wells often are more advantageous than drilled wells.
Groundwater samples from the
unconfined aquifer (during autumn season with 19[degrees]C of average temperature) were collected from rural wells, including windmills and domestic wells with electric pumps.
The [Fe.sup.+2] ions are abundantly present in the reduced waters of the
unconfined aquifer. The siliceous gravel below the organic-rich clay layer provides a suitable crystalline substrate for phosphate precipitation.
This paper describes a simulation of groundwater movement and contamination migration in an
unconfined aquifer within an area of approximately 0.16 sq.
The Torbat Jam aquifer is an alluvial
unconfined aquifer. The aquifer lies in the Torbat Jam plain, southeast of Mashhad city in the province of Khorasan Razavi northeast Iran (Figure 1).
Any
unconfined aquifer in the area could easily be infiltrated by the percolating solutions because of weak protective capacity of the overlying layers.

unconfined aquifer 1.
A groundwater level of an
unconfined aquifer or the piezometric surface of a confined aquifer indicates the elevations of the atmospheric pressure on the aquifer and hydraulic gradient of the area.
The flood gravels that filled the glacial trench in northern Idaho and the Spokane valley have been partially filled with water creating an
unconfined aquifer. This ground water is the potable water supply for more than 500,000 people in the Coeur d'Alene/Post Falls/Spokane Valley/Spokane metropolitan area.
