The table was shipped with the transit screws in place along with the plastic shims for securing the tonearm! There is a Shure Type V15-MR cartridge included.

I admit that my analog set-up is better than most folks, but dragging a 15- or 20-year-old direct-drive turntable with its integrated tonearm arm out of the closet, hooking it up to a high-end system, and expecting bliss is more than a bit naive.
Another distinct difference between the two versions is the aluminium and magnesium tonearms (or stylus).
