tarragon

Herbal medicine
A perennial herb that contains essential oils and used primarily as a seasoning. Tarragon was formerly used as a diuretic, appetite stimulant, and emmenagogue; it is little used by modern herbologists.
 
Toxicity
Tarragon’s oil may be carcinogenic.
