TXLNA

A gene on chromosome 1p35.1 that encodes taxilin alpha, a ubiquitous protein highly expressed in the heart, kidneys, liver and pancreas. It is thought to be involved in intracellular vesicle trafficking and possibly also in calcium-dependent exocytosis in neuroendocrine cells.
