TUBB1

A gene on chromosome 20q13.32 that encodes a beta tubulin, which is a major constituent of microtubules. This is also a less preferred gene symbol for what is now designated as TUBB, see there.

Molecular pathology
Defects in TUBB1 cause macrothrombocytopenia autosomal dominant, TUBB1-related (MAD-TUBB1).
