TRPV2

A gene on chromosome 17p11.2 that encodes a calcium-permeable, non-selective cation channel activated by high temperatures above 52ºC in sensory ganglia, and activated by other stimuli in other tissues. It appears to be regulated in part by IGF-I, PDGF and neuropeptide head activator.
