immunoassay

any of several methods for the quantitative determination of chemical substances, such as hormones, drugs, and specific proteins, that utilize the highly specific binding between an antigen or hapten and homologous antibodies, including radioimmunoassay, enzyme immunoassay, and fluoroimmunoassay.
