TFAP4

A gene on chromosome 16p13 that encodes a transcription factor of the basic helix-loop-helix-zipper (bHLH-ZIP) family, which binds and oligomerises DNA; it activates cellular and viral genes by binding to the symmetrical DNA sequence CAGCTG.
