Swedish Vallhund

a small (20-32 lb), powerfully built working dog with a long body, long head, pointed erect ears and moderately short legs. (The breed standards call for a height to body length ratio of 2:5.) The coat is medium length, abundant and woolly in shades of gray, brown, red or yellow. The tail is naturally short or docked to a medium length. Called also Vasgotaspets, Swedish cattledog.

There are several theories about the origins of the Welsh Corgi and it is possible both may be descended form Swedish Vallhunds brought to Wales by Vikings in the 800s.
