To study the toxicity of
sulphides to activated sludge microorganisms, the
sulphide concentration in the added wastewater was increased.
In the Technical Report Howe recommends an underground exploration programme to convert the deeper
sulphide resources into reserves that may ultimately to be included in a mining plan.
The first hole FW-06-02 tested a geophysically inferred extension of a massive
sulphide intersection drilled in 2004 by KWG and Spider, where hole McF-04-40 on Line 1800 NE on this same conductor, intersected 2.
The exploration of the new base metal discovery has continued throughout the year with recognition that the style of mineralization and geological setting of the deposit appears typical of other Volcanogenic Massive
Sulphide (VMS) deposits in the Camp.
The marked base-metal increase towards the stronger part of the anomaly is very promising for this zone, pointing to the possibility of an economic massive
sulphide mineralization.
The drill program continued to confirm extensive broad areas of
sulphide mineralization with polymetallic (Au, Cu, Zn & Ag) values in a major volcanogenic massive
sulphide-epithermal environment.
TSX VENTURE:GA) is pleased to announce that a drill program to test several anomalies outlined by an airborne survey flown in April, 2005 over its Wapawekka property intersected copper-zinc
sulphide mineralization in a zone parallel and about 500 m distant from the massive
sulphide zone intersected in 2001 by three drill-holes.
The Okreb area, located approximately 10 kilometers east of the Bisha massive
sulphide deposit is underlain by late Proterozoic aged metasediments and associated intrusive rocks.
A final resource estimate of the deeper
sulphides is expected in early 2006.
Highlights include four additional massive
sulphide intersections including hole WAN-05-04 which has returned assay results grading 3.
Both holes were collared in mineralized tourmaline breccia, passing into altered non-brecciated rhyolites containing finely disseminated
sulphides.
