A drug used for its neuromuscular blocking effect. It is used as an adjuvant in surgical anesthesia, and to prevent trauma in electroconvulsive shock therapy.
CAUTION!This drug should be used only by physicians who have had extensive training in its use and in a setting where facilities for respiratory and cardiovascular resuscitation are immediately available.
