stan·dard at·mos·phere (atm),

1. the pressure of the atmosphere at mean sea level at 273.15 K, equivalent to 1,013,250 dynes/cm2 or 101,325 Pa (N/m2 in the SI);
2. a standardized expression of the relation of barometric pressure, temperature, and other atmospheric variables as a function of altitude above sea level.

1. The pressure of the atmosphere at mean sea level, equivalent to 1,013,250 dynes/cm2, or 101,325 Pa (N/m2 in the SI).

standard atmosphere

The pressure of air at sea level when the temperature is 0°C (32°F). This is equal to 14.7 lb/sq in., or 760 torr, or 101,325 pascals.
