Slagle, Eleanor Clarke(slāg′ĕl)
U.S. social worker, 1871–1942. She was educated in Chicago, worked at Hull House (an early settlement house in that city), and founded the Society for the Promotion of Occupational Therapy (now known as the American Occupational Therapy Association).
