acrochordon

 [ak″ro-kor´don]
a pedunculated skin tag occurring principally on the neck, upper chest, and axillae in women of middle age or older.

skin tag

1. a polypoid outgrowth of both epidermis and dermal fibrovascular tissue;
2. embryology a skin-covered projection that may or may not contain cartilage; typically located in a line between the tragus of the ear and the corner of the mouth and associated with external ear anomalies.

acrochordon

(ak?ro-kor'don?) [acro– + Gr. chorde, cord]
A small, benign, polyp-shaped growth composed of skin and subcutaneous tissue; typically found on the neck, in the axilla, or near the eyelids.
Synonym: fibroepithelial polyp; skin tag See: illustration
