sex reassignment surgery

Surgical treatment to alter the external appearance in the direction of the opposite sex. It is rarely performed but is sometimes justified in the case of people with ambiguous genitalia or in the case of some TRANSSEXUALS who are convinced that they are of the wrong anatomical sex.
