Schamberg’s disease

A dermatosis that primarily affects the lower extremities of males and is characterised by flat purple lesions which coalesce and form brownish patches (due to hemosiderin deposition).

Schamberg's purpura may resemble stasis dermatitis, because both processes include inflammation, dilation of capillaries, extravasation of erythrocytes, and hemosiderin deposits.
