Sarcostemma

a South African and Australian genus of the plant family Asclepiadaceae; suspected to contain cynachoside, which causes incoordination, tremor, recumbency and convulsions in sheep. Includes S. australe, S. brevipedicellatum, S. viminale. Called also, caustic vine, caustic creeper or caustic bush.
