STK33

A gene on chromosome 11p15.3 that encodes a serine/threonine protein kinase which phosphorylates VIME and thus may play a role in the dynamic behaviour of the intermediate filament cytoskeleton. It is highly expressed in the testes, foetal lung, and heart.
