ABCC5

A gene on chromosome 3q27 that encodes a protein of the MRP subfamily of the superfamily of ATP-binding cassette (ABC) transporters, which transport various molecules across extra- and intracellular membranes, many of which are involved in multidrug resistance. ABCC5 exports its substrate, cyclic nucleotides, contributing to the degradation of phosphodiesterases, and may be an elimination pathway for cyclic nucleotides. ABCC5 is linked to resistance to thiopurine anticancer drugs, 6-mercatopurine and thioguanine, in patients with acute lymphocytic leukaemia, and resistance to antiretroviral nucleoside analogues (e.g., 9-(2-phosphonylmethoxyethyl)adenine) in HIV-infected patients.

SMRP can be formulated as a decision problem as follows:
Aliquots from 12 of the above samples and 1 mesothelioma patient sample were subjected to 1-10 freeze/thaw cycles at -70 [degrees]C, and SMRP values for the frozen/thawed samples were compared with the fresh sample values.
Neither a storage temperature of 37 [degrees]C nor hemolysis resulting from storing unprocessed blood samples over extended periods of time (at 2-8 [degrees]C and 37 [degrees]C had a significant effect on measured SMRP.
During this SMRP funding round, a total of $535,905 has been allocated for eight conditional grants that communities can use to implement a Pay-As-You-Throw type system for curbside trash collection.
Thirteen communities were awarded $1,239,422 in SMRP grants for the purchase of wheeled carts for the implementation or expansion of curbside single-stream recycling.

For years, we've believed SMRP played a role in the classification of the disease, but there was no accurate way to confirm it.
Food & Drug Administration (FDA) under the Humanitarian Device Exemption (HDE) program on January 24, 2007, the MESOMARK Assay test kit was developed by Fujirebio Diagnostics to measure levels of SMRP in serum of patients diagnosed with biphasic or epithelioid mesothelioma.
With this remote SMRP testing technique, Cable MSOs can deploy IP-intensive, real-time applications such as VoIP with confidence, by assuring services with complete Hybrid Fiber-Coax (HFC) network test visibility at the service, network, and RF layers.
FDI's mesothelioma assay is a two-step immunoassay that quantitates SMRP in human blood using a standard ELISA microplate sandwich assay format.
The SMRP will be deployed and used for refueling tanks and Armored Personnel Carriers (APC) in specified military areas.
Because SMRPs can be elevated for several years before an actual diagnosis of mesothelioma can be made, MESOMARK will help in the routine monitoring of asbestos exposed individuals who are at greatest risk for developing mesothelioma.
