GEMIN2

A gene on chromosome 14q21.1 that encodes gem-associated protein 2, a member of the survival of motor neuron (SMN) complex. The SMN complex plays a key role in spliceosomal snRNP assembly in the cytoplasm and is required for pre-mRNA splicing in the nucleus.
