SERPINA10

SERPINA10

A gene on chromosome 14q32.13 that encodes a member of the serine protease inhibitor (serpin) family which is predominantly expressed in the liver and secreted in plasma. It inhibits the activity of coagulation factors Xa and XIa in the presence of protein Z, calcium and phospholipid.

Molecular pathology
SERPINA10 mutations are associated with venous thrombosis.
