MAP2K7
(redirected from SAPKK-4)MAP2K7
A gene on chromosome 19p13.3-p13.2 that encodes a dual-specificity protein kinase that is as an essential component of the MAP kinase signal transduction pathway. With MAP2K4/MKK4, it is the only known kinase to directly activate the SAP/JNKs MAPK8/JNK1, MAPK9/JNK2 and MAPK10/JNK3. MAP2K7 has a specific role in the JNK signal transduction pathway activated by proinflammatory cytokines.Segen's Medical Dictionary. © 2012 Farlex, Inc. All rights reserved.
