Materials described are fibers and fabrics based on E-glass, S-glass, pan based carbon, pitch based carbon, and several Kevlars.
A less expensive option is ZenTron S-glass fibers from AGY, Aiken, S.C.
S-glass (for structural) has greater strength and stiffness and some formulations provide better bonding to resin but it is significantly more expensive.
