a test for atropine; the addition of oxidizing agents and sulfuric acid to a liquid containing atropine produces an odor of orange-flowers and roses.

Reuss test

An obsolete qualitative test for atropine, where oxidising agents and sulphuric acid are added to a fluid of interest; atropine presence is signalled by an odour of roses/orange blossums.
