In alternative healthcare, the injection of natural substances (dextrose, glycerine and phenol) to stimulate the growth of connective tissue in order to strengthen weak or damaged tendons or ligaments. Reconstructive therapy is said to be beneficial in treating various musculoskeletal disorders, including bursitis, carpal tunnel syndrome, degenerative joint disease, migraines, tennis elbow, and torn ligaments and cartilage.
