RNA editing

process by which NUCLEOTIDES not encoded by a GENE are incorporated, at specific sites, into an RNA molecule after TRANSCRIPTION. Editing may involve substituting individual nucleotides (substitution editing) or inserting or deleting nucleotides (insertion/deletion editing).
