A gene on chromosome 1p36 that encodes an adaptor protein which interacts with proteins involved in diverse biological processes, including DNA repair and cell cycle progression, by inhibiting the anaphase-promoting complex; it may play role in regulating epithelial-mesenchymal transdifferentiation.
