RAB14

A gene on chromosome 9q32-q34.11 that encodes a member of the Rab subfamily of Ras-related small GTPases, which is involved in intracellular membrane trafficking. It acts as a molecular switch that flips between an inactive GDP-bound state and an active GTP-bound state, recruiting downstream effector proteins onto (endosomal, Golgi, cytoplasmic) membranes.
