jaborandi tree Herbal medicine
A shrub-like tree (Pilocarpus jaborandi) that contains pilocarpine and volatile oils; it is diaphoretic, diuretic and expectorant, and has been used to treat bladder infections and rheumatic pain. Pilocarpine is a standard glaucoma drug.
