An extrinsive allergic alveolitis—hypersensitivity pneumonitis—due to inhalation of protein antigens from the sera, excreta, feathers of parrots, pigeons, parakeets/budgerigars, which evokes a type III or hypersensitivity reaction that may be followed by a type IV or granulomatous reaction
