The pre-formed ABTS*+ solution was prepared by mixing ABTS and potassium
persulfate solutions followed by dilution with distilled water until the absorbance of the ABTS*+ stock solution at 735 nm was placed in between 0.7 and 1.0.
After reaching 75[degrees]C, a pre-emulsion of BA, MMA, and HEMA (when required) with Triton X-200 (3.45 g) was charged in the flask followed by the addition of a 2 wt% aqueous solution of ammonium
persulfate (60.75 g).
Using sodium salt of
persulfate instead of the potassium salt produced higher yield.
Geological Survey National Water Quality Laboratory: Evaluation of alkaline
persulfate digestion as an alternative to Kjeldahl digestion for the determination of total and dissolved nitrogen and phosphorus in water.
Various
persulfate ([K.sub.2][S.sub.2][O.sub.8]) oxidation (PO) methods have been introduced as alternatives for measuring total N in water and soil extracts (Ebina et al.

Filtrate from each incubation was analyzed for nitrate, ammonium, and total N using a Lachat 8000 flow-injection autoanalyzer with in-line
persulfate digestion (7, 8).
The final concentration of each gel is 6% (w/v) acrylamide/bis-acrylamide (19:1), 0.5 X TBE buffer (Sambrook et al., 1989), 0.07% (w/v) ammonium
persulfate, and 0.08% (w/v) TEMED.
Q: We use 10% ammonium
persulfate, 2% sulfuric acid and mechanical agitation in the bath for the micro etch of our printed circuit boards (PCBs) before nickel plating.
Continuously operating ultraviolet-promoted
persulfate oxidation is used to convert organic carbon to carbon dioxide.
Our study used four cationic starches (CS) with different degrees of substitution (DS) and viscosity, ammonium
persulfate starch, and oxidized starch.
We analyzed extracts for N using alkaline
persulfate oxidation (Cabrera and Beare 1993).
