The instrument chosen to measures masculine and feminine gender-role behavior was the Personal Attributes Questionnaire (PAQ), which asks about stereotypical "feminine" gender-role behaviors such as emotionality, sensitivity, and warmth and stereotypical "masculine" gender-role behaviors such as decisiveness, perseverance, and self-confidence using 16 questions in a semantic differential format (Spence & Helmreich, 1978).
In addition, the Personal Attributes Questionnaire (PAQ), a 24-item self-report scale, was used to assess the psychological dimensions of masculine (M) and feminine (F) gender role characteristics (Spence & Helmreich, 1978).
