cyclophilin

Any of a family of high-affinity cyclosporin A-binding proteins (cyclophilin A [MIM:123840]; cyclophilin B [MIM:123841]; cyclophilin C [MIM:123842]) that catalyse cis-trans isomerisations. Cyclophilin is the trivial name for peptidylprolyl isomerase, EC 5.2.1.8 (peptidylproline cis-trans-isomerase).

On PND5, genistein exposure did not alter basal mRNA expression of Gilz, Fkbp5, Klf13, or Per1, 11[beta]hsdII, or the reference gene peptidylprolyl isomerase B (Ppib) (Figure 1B), although basal expression of Sgk1 was significantly higher and basal expression of Il13ra2 was significantly lower in the genistein-exposed mice.
Bars represent DENV RNA copy number (relative to cellular peptidylprolyl isomerase A (PPIA)) or mean pfu/mL, with error bars showing standard deviation.

Ppia (peptidylprolyl isomerase A (cyclophilin A)) was used as an internal control for SYBR Green PCR, which was performed in a single tube in triplicate.
In this context, a recent comprehensive study of the OVCAD (OVarian CAncer Diagnosis) consortium, analyzing a cohort of 216 patients, found that peptidylprolyl isomerase C (cyclophilin C) (PPIC)positive CTC were significantly more abundant in platinum-resistant than in platinum-sensitive patients (32).
Control samples included the expressed pig genes encoding glyceraldehyde-3-phosphate dehydrogenase (GAPDH), ribosomal protein L24 (RPL24), eukaryotic translation elongation factor 1 alpha 1 (EEF1A1), glutathione peroxidase 1 (GPX1), and peptidylprolyl isomerase A (cyclophilin A) (PPIA).
