Pel-Ebstein fever

a cyclic fever occasionally seen in hodgkin's disease and other diseases, characterized by irregular episodes of fever of several days' duration.

Pel-Ebstein fever

A fever occurring in episodes lasting for a few days and separated by intervals of days or weeks. This type of fever is said to be a feature of Hodgkin's disease. (Pieter Klasses Pel, 1852–1919, Dutch physician; and Wilhelm Ebstein, 1836–1912, German physician).
